Elenco s-1360 (640x260).jpg 166.02 KiB Viewed 1730 times I suppose they are similar, but anyone can clearly see this is not the same scope. I saw more than a few images on the web of a BK 2160a which looks just like mine, but I just figured they had misidentified their 2160 as a 2160a. This is a nice scope and I'm just surprised that no one, including me, can come up with any type of user or service manual for it. Even Pete doesn't have it and that is kind of rare. Doug YouTube channel. Info on any known problems with these would also be very helpful.
I don't know of any known problems to that model. On several similar scopes I've had (Phillips, Leader, B&K), they came working just fine. However they would often have sloppy or rough turning controls and/or switches. That would exhibit as 'spikes' and noise in the signal display when changing them ( especially the vertical controls). Solution: I usually assume the controls haven't been used in a long time and have oxidized. So I have a 'DeOxit' party and that brings the unit back to good, even excellent, all around performance.

The controls may be laid out a little different on the panel but that's no biggie. The operating instructions for the manual suggested should pretty much transfer. This looks like it's a 50-60Mhz scope. Should provide a lot of capability for whatever you might want to do.
I would suggest getting a good probe and always be mindful of the input voltage max (should be listed right near the inputs). Cheers, Grid2 Yes I did notice some dirty controls so I will probably give those a good cleaning.
I did get a comment for a link to a user manual on my YT video, so i have that at least. I also filled out a form on the BK support website so maybe that will produce something. Only time will tell now.
Thanks Doug YouTube channel.
